Humanitarian Assistance To The Victims Of Hurricane Katrina

The Singapore Red Cross Society is launching a public appeal to assist victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The Singapore Red Cross calls on Singaporeans and other like-minded organisations to come forward to contribute to this appeal and help victims affected by the hurricane. The hurricane has made physical and economic devastation in the states of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.

The Singapore Red Cross requests donation to this emergency and will use this fund to assist displaced and homeless victims through the American Red Cross. Please do not make any donation in kind.

The public can send their donation [kindly note that no tax exemption will be accorded to this appeal]:
1) By cheque to the "Singapore Red Cross Society"

(Please indicate behind the cheque "Hurricane Katrina" and include your name, address and telephone number, as a receipt will be sent to you) and post the cheque to: The Singapore Red Cross, 15 Penang Road, Singapore 238486
2) Donors may also come personally to make a donation at the Red Cross House, 15 Penang Lane, Singapore 238486 between 9.30 am and 5.00 pm on weekdays and 9.30 am to 12.00 (noon) on Saturdays.
